Lynne Riggs Anderson - Founder

Lynne Anderson is the creator of eTextPrep. A communications professional for more than 20 years, she has worked in numerous areas of the advertising, marketing and online industry. As one of the principals of Anderson Communications Group, one of the Southeast's leading web design, development and advertising firms, she headed New Business Development. She also owned and operated L.R. Anderson Public Relations and worked as a freelance writer and magazine editor for many publications in the Southeast. She began her career in marketing communications with the Hilton Head Company, a former division of Marathon Oil, and the Sea Pines Company, Hilton Head Island's world-famous resort community. In 2008, she and a partner opened Core Pilates & Yoga, the market's leading Pilates studio. Over the past 20 years, she has been extremely active in education in both public and private schools and has served in a variety of leadership positions on school boards, committees and non-profit associations. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, and holds a BA Degree in Communications. As the parent of four children, she has successfully helped navigate two of them, so far, through the challenging world of SATs, ACTs, APs and the college admissions process.

David Anderson is a well-respected advertising and marketing personality in the Southeast. His company, Anderson Communications Group, has had a highly successful 28-year career in both the Southeastern U.S. and in specific industries worldwide. David attended Syracuse University and began his advertising career in New York City at Jack Morton Productions. From there, he moved to Cunningham & Walsh in San Francisco to work on the Qantas Airways account. In 1980, David moved to Los Angeles to work on various accounts including the 1984 Olympics. He moved to Hilton Head Island in 1982 and opened The Anderson Group in 1983.

Heather Brougham-Cook presently teaches upper elementary to students at one of South Carolina's leading NAIS independent college prep schools. She was recruited specifically to initiate leading edge curriculum development and implementation for the advanced pre-middle school grades. She teaches across curricula in math, science and humanities with a major focus on curriculum integration and excellence in communication. Prior to teaching career, she worked in corporate communications as an editor, consultant and public relations specialist. She received her B.A. in Sociology and Psychology, a B.A. (Honors) in Industrial Relations; a Certificate in Industrial Marketing Management, a Certificate in Public Relations Management all from University of Pretoria, South Africa. She has her Certificate, Early Childhood Education, Montessori Educational Programs International; and a M. Ed. from the University of Phoenix.

Margaret "Peg" Hamilton has been a teacher of English for more than 20 years. She presently teaches World Literature, American Literature, British Literature, AP Literature and Composition, and AP Language and Composition to students in grades 9 - 12 at one of South Carolina's leading NAIS college prep day schools. She also guides seniors through the SAT, ACT and entire college admissions process as Senior Advisor & College Counselor. She works closely with the top college admissions departments around the country assuring 100% of the school's graduating class receives college acceptances. She has been the recipient of numerous awards during her career including, Upper School Teacher of the Year; South Carolina Independent School Teacher of the Year (SCISA); Carolina Morning News Teacher of Excellence; and WTOC-TV Top Teacher. Just last year, she was again named a finalist for SCISA Upper School Teacher of the Year. She is a published poet and has completed residencies at prestigious programs including, Columbia University, New York, NY, a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship, "Poetry of Dickinson and Whitman;" Virginia Center for the Creative Arts; and Frost Place, a summer poetry residency. She has also attended multiple professional and AP workshops around the country. She studied at Miami University, Oxford, OH; received her B.A. cum laude in English Literature and her M.A. in English Literature & Stylistics from Cleveland State University, Cleveland, OH; and he M.F.A. in Creative Writing & Poetry from Vermont College - Norwich University, Montpelier, VT.

Katy Hudak has worked as a teacher for more than 15 years. Currently, she chairs the English Department at one of South Carolina's leading NAIS college prep day schools. She teaches several high school classes in Advanced Placement Literature & Composition and upper level English. During her tenure, she has been responsible for the creation of department standards and benchmarks, has been commended for Excellence in Instruction by the National Council of Teachers of English and has coached numerous students to several state and national literary meet First Place finishes and NCTE writing awards. She has been the recipient of several commendations and national educational grants including Rotary Club Teacher of the Year; Savannah Morning News Excellence in Teaching Award; South Carolina Independent School Association Teacher of the Year; Coca Cola Joseph B. Whitehead Educator of Distinction Award; and National Endowment for the Humanities grants for Summer Seminar: Beowulf and Contemporary Words, UNC - Asheville and Le Roman de la Rose: Courtly Love and the Chivalric Tradition, University of Cincinnati. She received her B. S. in English Education and her M.A.T. in English from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio and a Certificate of Teaching English as a Second Language from Hamline University, St. Paul, Minnesota.

"Senora," as her students affectionately know her, has taught all levels of Spanish language and literature in public and private schools for more than 35 years. Her expertise spans six states and thousands of students in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, New Jersey, Virginia, Michigan and South Carolina. Senora Parker was a foreign language representative to the State Accreditation Committee in North Carolina and has served as an Enhanced Instructional Process (EIP) Coach for fellow educators and as a master teacher to numerous student teachers. In 1994, she accepted a position at the prestigious Roeper School for the Gifted in Birmingham, Michigan, teaching Spanish and Latin American Culture. While at Roeper, she completed formal studies examining gifted foreign language learners, their learning styles and patterns of language acquisition. Senora Parker received her B.A. in Spanish and Secondary Education from Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania; pursued graduate level studies at East Carolina University and has many hours of professional development course work in curriculum proficiency, rewriting and editing of Spanish achievement tests and advanced topics of AP Spanish Preparation through the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia.

Nancy Snavely began her teaching career more than 35 years ago in Columbus, Ohio. For more than 30 years she taught in South Carolina schools, where she worked in the classroom teaching English I, II, III and IV; English I, II, III, and IV Honors; Mythology; and SAT Verbal Review. She also worked as an educator and mentor for Strive to Excel, a college prep program for at-risk high school students. She has received multiple commendations and awards during her career including the 2001 Educator of the Year, Hilton Head/Bluffton Chamber of Commerce and Teacher of the Year 2001, Hilton Head High School. She has improved the college admissions test scores of thousands of students over the years, via her very popular SAT Prep courses in Verbal and Writing. Kathryn Weatherhead has shared her passion for the natural sciences with high school and college students for more than 30 years. Tina Webb-Browning is a 25-year veteran science teacher and presently chairs the Science Department at one of South Carolina's leading independent, NAIS college prep schools. In addition to full managerial responsibilities including budgeting, technology plans, curriculum development, implementation and evaluation, teaching methodology reviews and staffing, she works hands-on in the classroom teaching students advanced science.
